This workshop is open to all levels of experience!

Your five days of instruction will focus on how to paint outdoors, under natural light, using oil paint.

In this workshop, you will learn to solve many of the common problems a painter encounters in the field. Sometimes through discussion, sometimes by Thomas demonstrating a solution. As Thomas assesses your strengths and weaknesses, he will tailor his instruction to meet your specific needs, even as you continue to paint with the rest of the group.

Emphasis will be placed upon color, composition, and how to paint with an uncomplicated technique.

Most of your instruction will be presented outdoors in front of your easel. You can expect this workshop to increase your confidence and ability to paint anywhere, anytime, indoors or out.

Thomas will demonstrate a ‘Quick Draw’ approach to painting several times throughout the week.

After you register, you will receive a materials and recommended reading list. You may be surprised at how little equipment is required, and how much may be accomplished with it.

“I am confident if you take my workshop

you will learn much, make great friends,

and have a terrific time!”
